Engineering
Services Center (ESC) Montevideo has administrative responsibility
for the technical security posture of the Department of
State’s diplomatic missions in South America.
ESC Montevideo personnel provide technical
security services directly to all diplomatic posts in the
Southern Cone.
Engineering Service Offices (ESO) in Bogotá,
Brasilia, and Lima function under the administrative control
of ESC and provide direct technical security services to
the remaining posts in South America. ESC Montevideo personnel
frequently travel to temporary duty stations throughout
the continent.
