Manuel Cabezas began his formation in the
arts drawing on strong influences from Latin American impressionists.
The majority of his formal education in the arts has come
from his apprenticeship in the studio of Maestro Aldo Curto,
and from hours spent painting at the Artists' Cooperative
in Montevideo. Oil paintings and the spatula are the elements
he uses to develop his artistic expression.
He began to exhibit his work in 1990 at
the principal art galleries in Uruguay and abroad. He has
also participated extensively in private art shows. His
works cans also be found in private collections in the United
States, Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Chile and Paraguay.
