RAFAËL SANCHEZ-CHERVIÉRE

The Art in the Embassy Program offers Embassy staff and visitors the possibility to enjoy original art by Uruguayan plastic artists through monthly exhibitions held in the lobby of the Embassy.

Uruguayan architect and engineer Rafael Sanchez-Cherviere's professional account: 1974 – Member, as a painter and sculptor, of AIAP UNESCO, Paris. 1976 – Techniques of drawing and painting in the School of Architecture of Paris La Défense, pedagogical units 2, 4 and 5. 1979-80 – International professional aquarellist, member of the Federation Groupement d'Artistes de Marais, Paris. 1980 – Training in engraving, etching, in the School of Architecture of Paris La Défense. 1982 – Broadens his plastic ability in the field of visual arts in La Sorbonne, preparing a master of Arts degree with the Master of Arts and Architecture of international reputation Yannis Xenakis. 1982-83 – Qualifies as an Architect D.P.L.G. in the School of Architecture of Paris La Défense. 1984 – Begins his international career of Master in restoration of pieces of art and architecture in France. 1999-2000 – Qualifies as an engineer employed in the private sector with the Société d'Ingénieurs Scientifiques de France in the field of masterpieces of art of engineering.


The Cultural Affairs Office is responsible for organizing and implementing the Art in the Embassy Program.
